  I don’t really know, but I would think with heads of tiny flowers it’s a one time visit for each flower, that’s why they have hundreds of flowers to a head,  we need to grow more plants like that. So masses of flowers for bees.

  My understanding that a floret like those on a borage take 2 minutes to "reload" with nectar (one of the fastest), so, yes it's worth keeping the majoram until it's finished flowering.
  

  
  

  I would guess that once a floret has had its pollen taken, the sexual job is done and there is no need to produce more. Wise @LG_ ?
  

  
  

  Flowers that depend on insects or birds for pollination produce nectar. Wind pollinated flowers do not produce nectar.

  Yes in bigger flowers, dahlias are good as well but I would think the multi headed ones may be designed for single use.
  I pollinate my pepper flowers,  they seem to die once I’ve done it.
