Dying bees

I keep finding bumble bees ( I think - they're huge anyway-) wandering about on the lawn, falling off things and eventually dying. Is someone spraying them or is there a disease they might have?

My next door neighbour is as round and as hairy as a bumblebee and he says he's dying in this heat too.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
