Poorly chocolate vine

My chocolate vine is looking sad, something is attacking it. Please see photos attached. Any ideas of what it is and how to sort it out please?

    Must be slugs/snails surely.
    We have one on the north face of our polytunnel and nothing attacks it.
    Do be careful as it can take over even though it is a lovely plant with very delicate flowers.
