Ammi Majus
in Plants
My Ammi have grown to 10 feet this year - previously they've only reached 3 -4 feet. Previously I think I grew Ammi Visnaga but this year grew Ammi Majus which I'm guessing accounts for the height difference. I've had way more blooms than ever before, but have also had a problem with masses of tiny petals dropping from the flowerheads when they are in vases, making my tables - and sometimes floors! - look as if they have a bad case of dandruff. As I grow them for cutting this is a problem which I don't recall having before. I'd be grateful for any ideas on how to stop the petals falling if using Ammi Majus or whether Ammi Visnaga is a better option, despite (for me) producing fewer blooms.

how about trying hair spray on the blooms to see if that will fix it. We did that in our flower arranging class, but I can’t remember which flowers we were using. Valerie
another trick I knew was to get rid of lily pollen on clothes by putting sellotape On the pollen a peeling it off. Just is case you may need it one day. Valerie
