Please diagnose my tomato illness

  • Update: I think you’re right about the compost. Having watched it, the moisture is falling straight through and out of the bottom. I’m going to buy some plastic saucers for them tonight. 

    I’ve had a good prune and hopefully the saucers will help retain moisture more.

    Does anyone have any tips on helping improve the water retention of the plants without reporting? I heard somewhere a bit of dish soap helps the water and compost come together?

    If you take your photos in landscape format they'll appear the right way up.  Failing that try editing them just a tad ... just a millimeter seems to appease the uploading gods and they post your photo the right way up.

    I just use the seed trays that are now empty to keep them watered @itsjamessmart plenty of room without soaking the compost too much,  maybe a little evaporation but not much.
