Eryngium Bourgatii assistance please

What do you think is going on with my Eryngium?  It's showing no sign of flowering, and now it has new growth coming in the middle which is a different colour to the existing stuff, it feels a bit less prickly too.  I got it around September last year in a 9 inch pot, overwintered in a cold frame.  Should it be flowering this year or is too early?  Does it need moving?  It's in a sunny spot, which I thought it wanted!

    My eryngium didn't flower 1st year. I too bought it is a 9cm pot. The 1st year it grew foliage, 2nd year it flowered profusely. This year (year 4) it has taken over and self seeded everywhere!

    Mine took 3 years to flower,hasn't seeded unfortunately,don't move it.
