What is making holes in the leaves of my roses?

At first I thought leaf cutting bees, but now I’m worried it may be the dreaded vine weevil. Can anyone tell from the shape of the holes?

    Not weevil - notches are too big. 
    Definitely looks like leafcutter bees . Lucky you  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • Phew! I had read that leaf cutter bees only make perfectly round notches so I was getting nervous having initially assumed it was them.
