Is this what I call 'poo pickings' i.e. lumps of poo picked up from the meadow and sold on the side of the road in plastic bags, or is it from a stable and therefore mixed with bedding and urine ?

Hi Matey, No this is from a very good  stable ( not Racing) yes it has straw parts in it but very small amounts, it has no urine smell in fact almost NO smell and when I received it did look quite good ,She said it was almost ready to use but better to keep till next Autumn, now I did ask if it was ok to leave in the bag and was told yes thats ok, but if its closed up will it still continue rotting down i wonder and I dont want to just wait and find all that time wasted in rotting, So Dove we meet again, vey nice to here from you,And I have purchased some strawberry seeds as I want to start to grow them instead of the usual Cra--rubbish we get sold here .AND being as you were across the pond when last I heared you will no doubt be pleased to here I GOT MARA DE BOIS, how about that !! all yours, all advise is well received,I hope you are well  Alan/KateB

Hi @Alan4711 .... good to see you  :)

Good stable manure will be fine kept in the bags :)

The Mara de bois are delicious ... however we no longer grow them as my OH has developed an enthusiasm for growing squashes so we need the space for them (as he does all the heavy work in the garden I need to keep him sweet  ;)).

    Enjoy your garden  :)
