What’s eating my plant leaves

Had this problem for many years. Problem is only on this plant, not on its neighbours. Not sure what the plant is let alone the problem that’s eating it. Any ideas would be much appreciated. I don’t want to lose this bush. Thanks

Is your shrub a Viburnum Tinus? I suspect this type of damage is from the Viburnum Beetle. See below link on how to deal with them.
