Suggestions for planting mid July
in Fruit & veg
Hi everyone,
I've managed to harvest some autumn planted garlic and onions as well as some beetroot and carrots, freeing up a load of pots. This is only my 2nd year at this gardening lark and the first year didn't go so well.
So.....with all the free pots and space i now have what should I plant, that would be ready before winter? Carrots, lettuce are my current thoughts, anyone got any better ideas.
Location is Central Belt of Scotland, first frost on average around 3rd week of October.
Thanks in advance

Season is shorter here, as you've realised. If you're in a more sheltered town garden it might be better
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
