Anthemis Lemon Ice

Morning,

I’m seeking advice (again!).

I bought this anthemis Lemon Ice last year and it flowered all summer and into autumn. 

It was in a trough last year. 

I’ve planted it into my new front garden and it’s grown bigger than last year by about half. 

I CANNOT remember if the droopy flowers are ones that are done or if it’s a sign that it hasn’t been watered enough. 

I remember the flowers looking like this last year but my memory fails me as to whether I snip them or water it. 

Can someone help?

    It was the water option! 

    I’m shocked as we had two days of heavy rain at the beginning of the week. 

    I watered it about an hour ago and it’s perked up already!

    The flowers on my anthemis, just the ordinary anthemis tinctoria, fold back like this every day between dusk and dawn then perk up again in the morning.  It’s the first time I’ve grown anthemis but the effect does just seem to be what the plant does.

    Maybe that’s what I’d forgotten! 

    Ah well. Everything has now had a drink. 

    It’ll probably rain all weekend now. 😂

    Our posts crossed but I should have mentioned in mine that my anthemis is one very thirsty plant, so I doubt you’ve done anything wrong giving yours another drink :)

    Yes! I now also remember watering it A LOT last year (when it was confined to a trough). 

    I’m still getting to grips with watering a garden as opposed to pots. 

    I think I may get another few anthemis as they flower forever and seem to be tough (mine survived the big freeze we had here at the beginning of the year).
