I was thinking of a more directly worded sign @Dovefromabove... :D

🤔 Just a thought ... some folk remove some leaves at this time of year if there's a lot of blight about, to improve air flow ... it might have been because of that perhaps, it's real 'Blight Weather' at the moment ... even so I think it's been overdone a bit on your plants and anyway, it would've been good manners to talk to you first.   :)

  • Thanks @Dovefromabove and @Fairygirl!

I'm positive it was done in good faith but hopefully I'll get the opportunity to ask them about it. Maybe it was blight, though quite a few haven't been touched in the greenhouse on the other hand.

I think the crux is asking me first would have been a better thing to do unless it was causing serious issues for others.

As I'm new i think perhaps people think i need more "help" than I want!

What variety are they? They've not removed some of the flower trusses have they?  Sometimes folk do that on large fruited Beefsteak type varieties in order to get larger fruit by reducing the number being produced.

Just make it clear you don't want them touched. Perhaps it was simply 'misguided' help, but I'd find that really annoying if someone thought they could interfere with my plants without asking if I needed help first. It's pretty rude.
I would doubt very much if it was blight anyway.

Hope you get it resolved  :)

I’m ok once I get going @lyn, it’s this gammy knee that doesn’t have any springiness in it for take-off 🙄
