Mushrooms in bag of COMPOST ?

I've just opened a bag of compost to use with planting perennials.
It appears to to be infested with mushrooms.
I'd welcome advice as to what to do with it.
Many thanks.

Nothing to worry about ... it's simply the fruiting bodies of the fungi that are breaking down the organic matter in the compost into a form that can be accessed by the roots of your plants.

Perfectly normal, and in fact your compost would be next to useless without it.  It's simply that you've opened the bag while the fungi is at the fruiting stage so you've seen the fruiting bodies.
