Is this a Spanish slug?

First one I’ve ever seen in the garden — admittedly I don’t go out on slug patrols as I’ve not had much problems with them. I usually have the small grey-white ones in the lawn, seen probably less than ten of those this year, then I found this big guy this morning.

Not going to be to helpful here, it looks like it from the top but I've not seen one with such a light edge before.

I would say that was a fairly standard native slug, often black rather than brown, but same species. Arion ater. If so then a friend as at that size they eat other slugs.
