Ladybird Pupa a Goner?

So I've had the pleasure of this little one for the past few days.

Checked on it this morning only to find it had been webbed.

I've taken off what I can without disturbing it too much but is it already done for? Would it be worth moving it to a safer location in case the culprit comes back for it?

I think it's best to leave alone. Hopefully the casing has protected the ladybird inside.

A couple of days ago I had the pleasure of seeing a ladybird emerging from its casing.
The newly hatched ladybird was bright yellow with no spots and its wings were still protruding from the back.
A hour later it was gone - hopefully to eat the abundant aphids in my garden

  • @Pete.8 That's what I'm hoping. I'll keep a closer eye on it throughout the day in case the web spinner comes back.
