Peppers savaged by bugs - will they bounce back

Hey! I went away for 5 days but when I came back my pepper plants had been eaten by bugs!

Will this permanently stunt them? Will they come back from this?

I have now just sprayed them with Bug Clear Ultra to help prevent this happening again. It’s been really effective on my tomatoes.

Any advice or reassurance would be greatly appreciated! I don’t have a lot of faith in my pepper plants!

I doubt the bug-clear will help at all as that mostly looks like slug and snail damage.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

From the slugs?  Yes, plenty of healthy growth still on there.  From the bug spray?  Maybe?  Isn't that for spraying on the actual bugs themselves?  A contact pesticide?  Rather than a preventative?

Time for a slug hunt.  Get out your flashlight and have a look around for some slugs over the next few nights.
