Help with cutting back cotoneaster franchetii hedge

How do I cut back a contoneater francetti hedge that’s too wide and tall

    That's a lovely hedge  :)
    I think l'm right in saying that cotoneaster are tough as old boots and you can cut it back quite hard.
    Please be sure to check the there are no birds nesting inside before you start.

    You could do it in three stages - cut the height first then each of the sides in turn with a pause of a few months between cuts to allow it to recover.
  • Ah thank you both, there’s no birds nesting at all, but also been told no to cut while in flower so will do it in stages later in the year.
