Potting up a Camellia
Last year I bought a small camellia at my local supermarket. It was in bloom and flowered well again this year. Its only about 60cms tall and I need to move it. I would like to grow it on in a container and I wondered because of its age and size could I move it soon.

Thank you.
Anything in a pot needs more attention - especially shrubs, and especially in dry weather. Late summer is very important for Camellias and rhodos etc , as that's when they form their new flower buds. Don't let it get dried out at that time.

Rainwater doesn't always penetrate well enough through the canopy of leathery foliage, even when it's quite consistent, so keep an eye on it
