Now you see what the potato farmers are up against  ;)

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

If you do try again I would go for a first early variety,  they mature quicker.

What types are they @Allotment Boy I though mine were earlies, but now you say there are two types of early?

Vivaldi is second early.  I've just read up on them and they can be left as a maincrop but will be a little more floury in texture.  I think I'll leave the other 3 bags, give them a second feed and water more and see what happens.  The problem is when you grow them in bags you use quite a bit of compost and unless you get a good yield it isn't cost effective.

Well I’ve just emptied a second bag and here is the result
I obviously didn’t leave them long enough. Still have 2 bags to go. Will leave them for at least another week while we eat these. Note to self be patient. Have also pulled some lovely beetroot today. I think the one raised bed and a few pots and bags is giving me just the right amount of veg for the two of us.
