It's yer Donald Duck with weather for hills unfortunately. Now that I'm retired, I can pick and choose a bit more which helps. It's been very hot and dry here for the last week or so which is becoming a more common feature. Normally, if we go two or three days in the west without rain, that's unusual. At least we've been able to get out since April, so it was just a question of getting the thigh burning period out of the way!
Then it's the midges.....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Ha ha yes the midges are not much fun! I did notice you have a Lupin problem… they’re everywhere. Who said they are difficult to grow in Scotland
Yes - the 'wild' ones are quite spectacular this year. They tend to get eaten by slugs as soon as they appear in gardens - I gave up on them years ago because it was pointless. I've never seen the oxeye daisies looking so good either. There's a stretch of bare ground just as you leave Dumbarton to head up the L. Lomond road and it's covered in field buttercups and oxeye daisies just now. Really beautiful
I'm lucky - the midges rarely attack me
