Geum

Can anyone please explain to me how to actually deadhead Geum please.

    Just snip off the spent heads. It's best to take the stem down low enough to be hidden by the foliage, unless there are other buds still to open. Or wait until all the flowers on a stem are finished and take the whole stem off. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    From what @Fairygirl has explained I don't think it differs from what I said in your duplicate thread Geum. There isn't really any alternative. Just straight forward cutting the dead heads off. 
  • Thanks Fran I didn't doubt you would be correct .I have only been on here a few times over the years and didn't realise I had duplicated the post until @Fairygirl had replied.
