Verbena Bonariensis Help

VoyagerxpVoyagerxp Posts: 651
Hi ive been growing verbena bonariensis from seed but due to work and a busy life ive neglected the seedlings abit. The plants had grown over 2 feet tall and were very leggy and a bit pot bound so today i planted them all in bigger pots and reduced the height to a set of leaves. Have i done the right thing?.

    They'll be fine  :)
They sometimes flower in their first year, even at a small height, but they won't mind being cut back, and should grow on into nice bushy plants for planting out.

You could have used the bits you cut off as cutting material - popped round the edge of a pot of compost, they take very easily. I often do that with mine as they don't self seed very readily here, and the main plants often don't survive winter.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
