Should you repot in the summer?

Hello,

I know summer isn’t the best time to move plants in the ground but if I’m repotting a plant into a bigger pot, does it matter if this is done in the summer? 

I want to repot a small spruce tree.

    It's absolutely fine to re-pot almost anything now.  After all, all you are really doing is improving the growing conditions.  :)
