Can anyone help please? I'm sure it's quite common but I'm struggling. Thank you

Hello thompta49. I think it might be Russian vine. If it is be very careful as it can be a right thug.

Looks awfully like the dreaded Russian Vine, aka Mile-a-Minute.

Utterly rampant, flowers look good for a max of 2 weeks if you're lucky and then fade to brown.  Dull, boring foliage.  Will swamp a fence, building, tree, garden in n time if left.  No redeeming features.

I agree with all that has been said above … it also roots wherever a stem touches them ground. It can look beautiful when in flower but it can swamp trees and pull the guttering off your roof.   I know one plant that has spread a third of a mile along a roadside hedgerow!!!

Thank you. That's definitely it. Think the shears will be out soon then
