Spring greens

Hi all, I'm looking to fill the gaps in the veg beds. I found a post on an old site for sowing spring greens, is it too late any hints or tips on this or variety choice greatly appreciated

    I used to grow either Early Durham or April .

    Oh, and if you're harvesting cabbages in the autumn don't pull the stalks up ... cut a cross in the stem across the top about half an inch deep ... it'll trigger new leafy growth and you'll get some early spring greens  :)

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    During lockdown we couldn't buy spring greens.  We have just bought our first for ages from Sainsbury''s, but rightly just labelled "greens".

    I think we will have to grow our own for next year.  I used to grow Cauliflower tops and "Greyhound".  I notice Dove's recommendations (thank you), but what would other folks grow?

    I think there might be time for a Greyhound crop before the winter.  Not much space, I would have to squeeze them in between the runner beans.

    I grow the same as Dove,  I will sow very soon, I do plant them in GH soil though, not outside after the tomatoes are out.
    In the early Spring just pick of the outside leaves they keep growing.

    @lyn I'm glad you posted this as I thought it was way too late to sow them. I'm wanting to grow in my greenhouse too and just yesterday transplanted chard and spinach in between the tomatoes
