Olive tree disease or normal?

Hi there,

In the last couple of months, my olive has been shedding quite a lot of yellow spotty leaves. I know yellowing of leaves is completely normal but the spots on these ones concerns me a bit, and I’m wondering if it’s a sign of disease. Any olive tree owners/fans/experts out there able to advise?

For context, the tree is in a pot ( no other choice) in a sunny position (not that there is much sun in the UK at the moment!)

Thanks so much

    Normal.  Cracker little tree!!!

Bit like hair really.  It falls out but new ones grow.
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

  • Agree they look like old leaves. But can I still see the plastic ties that came with it from the nursery still on? A small standard wouldn't need the cane or those ties, take them off if you can...they're only there to help transit.

I can assure you that doesn't always happen 😁

Although they are evergreen, leaves don't last forever and evergreen plants often drop some older leaves in summer.
    Lovely looking tree :)
