Mystery plant

Does anyone know what this plant is? Asking for a friend! ☺️ Thanks very much

    Could it be one of the euphorbias?

    It's a Euphorbia, could be "Bonfire".
    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Looks like a euphorbia to me too ... but probably a very hungry and thirsty one.

    I think her first move should be repotting in fresh compost (a mix of John Innes No 2 with a bit of added multi-purpose compost would be my choice).  Tell her to be careful not to get the white sap on her skin ... best to wear gloves, as it can burn ... especially in strong sunlight.
