Brown spots on chili plant leaves

Does anyone know what this might be? Leaves yellow more and then fall off, the bottom ones first. Same with bell peppers plant.

The only thing that springs to mind is damage by spider mites - many types are too small to see without a magnifying glass. They live on the underside of the leaf.
They produce tiny webs on the plant when there are lots of them.

I see, will have a look for a magnifying glass, but i believe the top side of the leaves are more damaged, which leads me to think that it might not be those. The plant is still holding on, and producing chilies, new leaves are also coming, but the older ones keep dying.

Old leaves do die … it might just be that.

Hmmm, maaybe, but it affects alot of the leaves, it is just that the older ones die quicker. You can see it on the photo, it has hit several (if not all) leaves.
