Hi all

I believe both of these are geraniums, is that correct?

Plant 1

The flower on this one is on its way out, can I cut back the whole stem? Will I get another flower?

Plant 2

Thanks all
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

Plant 2 is a geranium, plant one looks more like a delphinium to me.
    Hopefully someone can confirm  :)

Yes, I think the first one is a delphinium too, I'm jealous because the slugs and snails always get mine 🙁 and the second is a hardy geranium, nice markings on the petals 🙂

    Thanks @AnniD & @bullfinch

The app I using was telling me that first one was a geranium but it didn't seem quite right, delphinium looks far more likely.
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

Definitely a delphinium for #1.  It would be better in the ground if you have anywhere you can plant it as it will always struggle in a pot.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

First one is definitely a delphinium. Second one looks like Geranium "Magnificum".
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
