Are these waterlogged? Sunflowers dying.

These are a dwarf variety, but several have died in this and another pot.  The stems feel hollow and I assume rotting due to recent, heavy rain.  Anything I can do to salvage the ones left?

I very much doubt it was watterlogging in a pot that size, unless there are no drainage holes in the bottom. Are there drainage holes?

Sunflowers are very thirsty plants. Their stems are always hollow. I suspect not enough water rather than too much. Give them a good soak and let all the water pour out of the bottom. They need full sun.

Thanks Fire.  Yes, 2 small drainage holes in the bottom of the pot.  We had a downpour yesterday and the soil is soaked.  The 2, thriving plants feel firm whereas the drooping ones felt spongy and hollow.  They are in full sun 10hrs of the day.
