What’s wrong with my plum tree??

Hi gang

I hope someone can help!

Two years ago, this plum tree gave us so much fruit, we ended up giving bunches to neighbors! Last year, we didn’t get a single piece. This year was looking promising but now all the things that looked like they were going to turn into fruit have just shrivelled up!!

The leaves all look healthy…. I have no idea what’s going on and how to save it!

I’d appreciate any advice you might have!

Thanks

    Hello @rkeenan86YBEvPysz and welcome!

I've never seen this before, but am wondering if drought might be to blame.  If your tree didn't get enough water, the fruits might be aborted.  Is it a young tree?
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  •  Thank you!! I did wonder whether it might be something like that… I’m just hoping it’s not some kind of disease that I can’t see!

It was transplanted about 4 years ago but was pretty old when we moved it. It has grown and thrived up until now
