Ok so oops. Hope someone can help

Hi all,

I've been a bit rash. I decided I would start my lawn from scratch. So I jumped right in without reading up on it.

I have rotovated the entire thing without weed killing, just digging in everything. My plan was buy turf and lay on top of the rotovated top soil. I've now read weeds will break through my nice new turf. 🙃

I can't weed kill now so what to do????

Hopefully someone can help

    Maybe lay your turf as planned and when it’s all knitted in then pour liquid Weed andFeed over it .That’s the only thing that I can think of doing .

    Unless you're desperate to get the turf down, l would wait for a week and see what happens. Any weeds should soon start to appear.
    Alternatively you could try laying membrane (although l don't know of anyone who has done this).

    Or just bite the bullet, lay the turf and weed as required  :)

    Yes on a bit of a timeliness for my daughters birthday. How about rotovating some weed and feed into the soil pror to laying the turf. Can't hurt right?

    It really depends on the type of weeds as to if you have a problem!
    A lot of annuals and you are OK but other pernicious weeds could be a nuisance.

    Putting weedkiller on bare soil is pointless. Waste of time and effort.   Wait for the weeds to regrow then treat with lawn weedkiller.
