Black spots on chilli plants leaves

We have a number of Peruvian lemon drop chilli plants in the greenhouse and noticed the past couple of days a number of leaves on one plant have fallen off and some have black spots on them which appear to be affecting the leaves.

Any idea what they are?

Could they have been damaged by being in very bright sunlight?

They're sat by the greenhouse shading and none of the tomatoes or other chilli plants have it.

    Could cat pee do this?

Foolish nextdoor neighbour hasn't spayed her cats and it's attracting quite a few stray tomcats around and noticed our male cat keeps spraying where they've been.

Yuk!  Yes it can ‘burn’ foliage. Keep cats out of the greenhouse!

  • I have exactly this problem with one of my chilli plants, i want to help it but dont know whats wrong with it! It isnt sun damage, its indoors so not cat pee. Only 1 habenero plant out of about 40 has this problem.
