An attempt  to get this self seeder  identified a couple of months ago was inconclusive.
It's  grown a bit now and there seems to be little thorns on the leaf stems
Can anyone ID it yet?

In London. Keen but lazy.

I don't know. I missed the first conversation; are other candidates sycamore and Norway maple? Between those it looks more like field maple to me. The little hook-like structures are interesting. I wasn't able to figure out yet if there is a botanical name for them.

I was wondering whether it might be a currant.
I'm over familiar with sycamore. It's not it. And it really doesn't look like an acer.
It has the look of a shrub more than a tree. But I'm probably totally wrong.
Will wait another couple of months and see what develops. Watch this space but infrequently!
