Potentilla

I have a potentilla which has produced only one flower in two plus years. It looks very healthy.  What could be the problem?

Which kind is it - the shrub or the one with leaves like strawberry plants?

Hi. A couple of thoughts: is it getting enough direct sun? (at least 4 hours). Also, they don't need feeding - if you have fed it, it might be putting on growth rather than flowering?

Hmm, then the only other thing I can think of is pruning: if you prune it in spring, you will be cutting off the potential flowers. If it's not that, then I'm afraid I'm at a loss! Hopefully someone else will have some ideas.

I planted a very small one last year. I'm not expecting it to flower this year . It will be good if it flowers next year, but it might still be too small
