Yep, no problem with damage at that end - just snip off as @Pete.8 says.  It's the other end (stem rot near the roots) I've had trouble with for the last 2 or 3 years (on GH types.)  Had 4 growing nicely last year, then 3 died of stem-rot a wek or 3 after planting out.  Of course, this year I started 6 off and there's been no sign of stem rot, so will now have to sacrifice some of them, while I can still get in there! :D
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

I did wonder about two of mine in the greenhouse @BobTheGardener as they started to look weedy after transplanting,  but two weeks on they have picked up so look ok now.

I have 4 plants and was just hoping for a few off each one. Perhaps because they are outside rather than in a greenhouse I will not end up under too many and they are only just forming the first fruits so seen to be behind yours.

Depends what variety they are @Jacquimcmahon
I have switched to all mini cucumbers this year, as they are more prolific and ripen faster. There is not so long a wait between ripening either.  But in the greenhouse they made 10ft plants last year, so this year have two outside as well to see how they do ( actually that a lie, they are the spares I planted in case any wilted after transplanting)😁 but it will be interesting to see how it goes.

As mine are outside they are definitely suffering from the weird weather, lots of white on the lower leaves,mi was originally blaming hubby for watering from above, but the crazy rainstorms have been doing a worse job…. Lol….. still I just counted 4 cucumbers fattening up despite the weather so so far so good.
