I like Greg Wise and hope he does well and I remember John Waite from an early GBBO. I recognise the Dragon and Da Walker and the Indian actress but the rest have never been on my radar. Don't really care as long as they try hard, take advantage of a golden opportunity and remember it's not all about them and will be hard work but fun.
I get very fed up by those contestants who moan about how hard it all is. The rewards are enormous and I'm not talking about the fee.

As usual there are a couple l've never heard of, but by the time the series gets going it doesn't matter. Looking forward to seeing Adam Peaty strutting his stuff !
Well, I don't watch breakfast TV, don't watch daytime TV, don't watch cooking shows, don't watch kids TV, don't watch soaps, hate sport, don't listen to the radio and gave up on pop music about 20 years ago. Up until last year, I didn't watch any YouTube vloggers and even now I only watch Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell's channels! If I wasn't listening to/watching them 20 years ago, there's a good chance I'm not going to have a clue who they are. I know Nina because she was in Doctor Who (along with Strictly one of the few TV programmes I watch religiously) and Robert Webb's been around for years. Unless they're in Sci-Fi/fantasy or a popular comedian, I probably won't know them. Still, half the fun of Strictly is getting to know the contestants and I'm looking forward to getting to know this year's crew 🙂
I can't believe Greg wise is on !! and I love tom from mcfly remember Harry won.i think the line ups pretty good.lots I've never heard of as usual I don't watch soaps anymore but I don't care. I can't wait.bring on the glitter!!
Seeing each year's Strictly lineup makes me realise how out of touch I am with the modern world! It's not that I know hardly any of them (just under half - a good year!), it's just that I still cling to the notion that "slebs" should be known for something other than being related to somebody famous: yes, Tilly I'm looking at you! I can only imagine daddy has sold his sole to the devil (lightly pan-fried in herb-infused butter) or called in a few massive favours to get her out of his hair. I certainly don't think it helps Strictly appeal to a younger audience, although I do think it helps the likes of Joe Sugg appeal to an older audience! No matter: I'll soon be doing what I do every year - discussing the contestants like they were my own flesh and blood, and wondering how the producers are going to influence the scores this year (why, same as every year, of course). Yeah, big fan here!
