Low maintenance plants

GirlinaboxGirlinabox Posts: 14
Please could i have you recommendations for some low maintenance plants?  Currently renting a house from family and we're giving it back next month as they're renovating then putting on the market.  There are a couple of semi circle borders in the front garden that I'd like to plant something/somethings in to make it look a bit nicer, but notwithstanding the fact that they won't be here to water etc.

Was wondering about a few lavender plants or heather and some hardy flowers?

Thank you for any advice.

Lavender plants would be lovely Girlinabox and there are many hardy geraniums that fit the bill of low maintenance. Lots of information here:

Thank you so much.  Would you know if I am better to go to a plant nursery and buy lavender and geranium plants already partially grown, rather than say order plugs?  Was hoping to get something in the ground in the next week or two.

Considering the situation, why should you bother with planting anything?

It's more a case that I want to.

I would do as you have already worked out. Nice little plants from a nursery, but do shop around as often nurseries may not have a particular variety you may like. You could try that famous auction site. I use that quite a lot and the prices are very competitive.
