Shrub identification please

  My first thought was laurel but it would help more if we had a pic of the whole plant as well, to get an idea of shape and size.

  Gardening in East Suffolk on dry sandy soil.

  I'm wondering if it could be Pieris but can't judge scale/size.

  I agree, it looks like a Pieris shrub but an overall shot of the shrub can also be helpful to know the habit and height.
