Missing planting tool

    I suspect that another tool is needed  for feeding birds whilst not feeding squirrels, pigeons, magpies or rats; a feeder that actually works. Some concoction of trays, baffles cages and umbrellas?

    I've seen many similar ones though, I don't expect this one to be an outlier. See for example this list:

    I noted that some of those have a 'grip trigger' soil release mechanism. At first I thought that sounds really useful as I usually need to tap out the soil, but I now wonder if it just introduces potential weaknesses. The tapping is not so bad.
    How does your bulb planter compare?
