Rose ID

in Plants
Can anyone help identify this rose? It's a Vigorous rambler or climber. The flowers are white in full bloom but start off yellowish.

.. sorry for the delay, I've just seen your other post... I've had a look on my mobile phone and the foliage does have more of an AB look about it, although the leaves are rather small, but my first instinct was for ASG... I've grown both albeit a long time ago.. AB is noted for its scent, ASG not so much as I recall..
.. one or the other, but the photos are showing mostly spent blooms which makes it harder and the foliage is not at its best either.. if you could show a photo of the receptacle it might help as I think they're a little different.. [the bulbous bit underneath a bud or bloom]..
.. thanks for the extra pictures...yes, a rounded receptacle says 'Alberic Barbier'.. they are more elongated on ASG..
..also I see indicators on the stipules and foliage which says 'AB'.. sorry for the confusion earlier.. the individual blooms can be rather similar..
... yes, absolutely it will.. .I'm surprised you could not get Alexandre Girault to root, I grew 2 of these own root, from just the 2 cuttings, they were every bit as vigorous as the grafted plant, exceptional growth... I would expect A B to do the same as it's similarly bred.. give it another try, take 1 foot long pencil thick shoots from flowered wood in autumn, removing any hips, and stick into the ground in a sheltered spot.. they really should have rooted by Spring..
..other methods are available but that's the traditional way..
..do you really want another one?.. lol..
