I normally prune tbis plant after flowering but at the moment birds are nesting in it. How late can I leave it, hopefully the babies will soon leave the nests!
They don't mind being pruned at almost any time. I often give mine a severe haircut in summer if I want to reshape them. The only thing is that it can affect flowering a bit, but it isn't really a problem
