Sprouted iris bulbs- forgot all about them!

Clearing an indoors cupboard and I've found 2 bags of iris bulbs I bought earlier this year.  They have a 4cm shoot on them.  Should I leave them in the bag in a dark place till next year?  Plant out now or something else?

Plant them now; they are much more likely to survive until next year (and potentially flower if you're lucky) if they are in the ground.

Plant them now :) they may even bloom in September. But plant them in a pot and keep in a dapple shade area at first. At this point of the year you need to acclimate them to sun exposure first . Gradually allow them to see more and more sun once new shoots get darker green and then you can just leave them in full sun for the rest of the year

Some great points, thankyou.  It would be lovely if they did flower this year!
