To prune or not to prune

Hi everyone, I have my first rose bush that was already planted in a property we bought & its flowered beautifully & now starting to drop petals, does this mean i need to deadhead these or just leave it. I don't know when I'm supposed to prune it? Thanks

Snap off the spent blooms unless you would like hips.
Post a pic while there's still some blooms and someone should be able to give you some specific advice. @sueporter312002
