Mystery banana plant ailment

Could anyone please help identify what is wrong with my banana plant? It is an Abyssinian red banana, I’ve had it about three years during which time it has grown from about 6 inches tall to a beautiful 6ft monster. It has always developed these brown patches on its leaves. It hasn’t always been in the same position so I don’t think it’s to do with positioning. It has always been grown inside. It’s been repotted  regularly with slow release fertiliser pellets. It gets watered generously once a week.
Any ideas? Thanks 😊

It looks like it could be a fungal problem. I had similar problem with mine… I kept it in spots that weren’t exactly right light wise , but I wanted plant in that exact spot … had to give it away at the end. Walls and corners seem to reduce air circulation required for preventing fungus setting in.

It was breaking my heart, but with any leaf spot problem you’re supposed to cut all the leaves with “mature” spots and spray the rest with fungicide. And plant would need to be right in front of the window in full sunlight. They need at least 5 hours of direct sunlight in general and long stretches of sun would also help to stop fungal spores from spreading .
On your photo it stands by the wall, next to aquarium :) prime location for fungus

Good luck with you banana! Hope it will recover!

I think it's too hot / dry. They need good humidity and LOTS of water at this time of year ( think where they grow naturally )
More water and mist the foliage, or get it outdoors for the summer
