Replanting Peonies

    How shallowly do they need to be planted?
    My two are in the ground since last year, so they’re young plants.
    I only just covered the tubers, trying to keep the hole shallow.
    Wondering if they’ll do something next year…

    The crown no deeper than about an inch or so. I plant mine slightly proud of the soil level as it's wet here, and the soil's heavier. It works well. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Thanks again everyone.  I think in my case it's patience that's needed.  I'll let them do their thing for the next 2 years, and if nothing happens after that then I'll dig them up and replant nice and shallow. They're my wife's favourite flower, so I'll probably end up buying more, and in the meantime I still have one that flowers 🙂

    Phew, looks like I planted them ok, but the mulch around may be contributing to extra depth, so I have to scrape some away (not touching the main steam though).
