Enorma Runner Bean Help Please :)

Hi everyone!

I am new to gardening as of the last couple of months and have no clue, really what I am doing (it feels almost like science?!). ANYWAY, I was hoping for some runner bean help (photos attached).

Are they supposed to be flowering by now? I am not even sure which bit of the plant flowers. I thought I was doing everything right re: watering, plant food, supports, etc, but I am concerned that I have no sign of any flowering. It would be great to get a sense check from you seasoned gardeners about whether there is any hope for my bean plants, or whether you think something has gone wrong. They might not have enough room, perhaps, as I got over excited and planted lots of things, but it all seems to be growing okay?

Thanks so much in advance for any help :)

Leah

Hi @BonnieBean and welcome to the forum :)
They're looking absolutely fine... bonnie in fact  ;) ... mine don't usually start flowering until some time in July (depending on how the weather has been etc).   Yours look fab ... just keep the watering up.   :)

They look just fine. Flowers will appear on side shoots from the main stem probably in a couple of weeks. Keep them well watered and they will continue to shoot upwards, they can easily reach 10 feet or more .

One key thing to do is keep picking the beans as soon as they are ready to harvest. That will keep the plants flowering and producing new beans.
