Raspberry

hi all.. Its my first time growing raspberries, they seem to be turning red before growing to full size? Ive been composting root and watering regularly.. Am i doing something wrong

    There’s not much you can do about the fruit ripening, they’ll do what they do,  it’s the hot sunny weather following the rain.

    I have no idea what variety as a friend gave me a couple of her canes shes had for years and she doesn't know sorry

    I have 2 types of raspberries on my plot, one small, the same as wild raspberries from the woods, and a much larger berry, which is probably a variety which I do not know. Both are good
