Lupins

what what is eating my lupins they where lovely but something as ate the tops and the flowers and buds there is no sign of slugs or snails and I treat ground against them. They seem to be stripped in the daytime. What could it be ?

    I think it could well be slugs, which will prefer lupins to slug bait. Try going out at night and having a good look. I don't know of any other pests which cause such devastation.

    Could it be the lupin aphid.?
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    Well, they have been really bad this year, but surely you would SEE them? You could certainly see the horrid things on mine but they didn't  strip the flowers. Could be, I suppose.
