Tree runners

Help!

We have a field at the back of my garden which has a few trees in.  The problem I have is the trees have sent runners into my garden and now I have little trees sprouting up in my lawn.  Last year I pulled up the roots out of the lawn but now they are back again.

What can I do to stop this?

Any help and tips will be great.

Thank

A frustrated gardener!

Regular mowing should keep them at bay.  Pulling them up just destroys your lawn and stimulates the roots even more
